Arthur Evans was a gay activist, writer, and neighborhood activist who lived at the corner of Haight and Ashbury Streets in San Francisco since 1974. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, he played a pivotal role in the newly emergent gay liberation movement in New York City. (Read more)
